Anna Lester, Assistant Educator
Anna is an Early Childhood Education student at Florida State College at Jacksonville with a passion for working with children and helping them learn and grow. She spent five years working as a nanny, caring for children from three months to seven years old, where she discovered the joy of supporting each child’s unique growth and development.
Growing up, Anna was inspired by her grandparents, who taught and worked in the school system for over 30 years. Encouraged by their love for their career and the impact they were able to make on their students, Anna decided to go back to school and finish her degree so that she could become an educator herself. Through her studies in early childhood education, Anna discovered the Montessori philosophy and was immediately drawn to its emphasis on independence, hands-on learning, and respect for each child’s individual pace of development. As a musician, Anna hopes to share her love of music with the classroom and use it as a tool to encourage creativity and engage children in joyful and fun learning experiences.
Anna lives in Jacksonville with her husband and their three dogs. In her free time, she enjoys reading, finding new music, and spending time with her family.
